Accessibility
Last updated: July 4, 2026
FreeG1 is built to be usable by everyone studying for their Ontario G1, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, in the spirit of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
What we do
- Keyboard access — every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a clear visible focus outline.
- Screen readers — pages use proper headings and landmarks, form fields have labels, and traffic-sign graphics carry text descriptions on their reference pages.
- Reduced motion — if your device is set to reduce motion, our animated diagrams and transitions stop automatically.
- Readable contrast — text and controls are chosen to meet AA contrast, and the layout works when text is enlarged.
- Responsive — the site adapts to phones, tablets and desktops without loss of content.
Work in progress
Accessibility is never “finished.” We test as we build and fix issues as we find them. If you hit a barrier — something you can't read, reach, or operate — please tell us so we can put it right.
Contact us
Email accessibility@freeg1.cawith the page and a short description of the problem, and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
